New Zealand Wine is the national organisation for the country's grape and wine sector, boasting over 600 grower members and 700 winery members. Established in March 2002, it stands as the sole unified national winegrowers industry body worldwide.
When New Zealand Wine approached us, their objective was to convey a more compelling and coherent narrative about New Zealand wine, while moving away from their excessively utilised 'Fern' mark commonly associated with national organisations. To achieve this, we embarked on a mission to concisely articulate our story and emphasise the distinct qualities that set New Zealand Wine apart.
Drawing inspiration from our brand story, the logo's three circular forms symbolise the three essential selling points or "ingredients" that differentiate New Zealand winemaking from overseas counterparts.
The final logo is a contemporary emblem that proudly showcases a distinct visual language on the global stage, one that is exclusive to New Zealand.
In addition to the logo, we crafted comprehensive brand toolkits and assets to equip all members of New Zealand Wine with the necessary resources to effectively communicate our unique proposition to the world.
