We created naming, branding and storytelling for a new Hospitality offering in Claudelands Hamilton. The concept of “A New Zealand kind of pub for New Zealand kind of people” was our starting point so we engaged the public through press advertising to find a true historical story. The winner was a tale of escaped circus animals in the Claudelands park area which informed the name “The Roaming Giant” We created a playful, friendly and approachable design signature based on escaped circus animals that are used to influence many touch points throughout the site. Animals hidden in interior graphics and a playful tone of voice create an environment that is rich and engaging for the whole family.
